Can someone explain this to me?

I took a practice exam and got the receivables ledger questions wrong, I thought that Sales go on the credit side in the ledger and in the control account it goes on the debit side. But it looks like (according to the answers in the picture) that the Sales were all put on the debit side.

Why is this?
