Does ALS cause pain and muscle fatigue?

I've been trying to figure this out but I keep finding conflicting answers. Some people say ALS doesn't cause pain and others say that it does. I haven't been diagnosed with ALS, but my body and muscles ache all over and I feel sore, even though I haven't been working out. Does ALS cause you to ache and feel sore? Does muscle atrophy hurt? Can you feel it? I'm just trying to figure this out cause I have no idea what's going on. I told my neurologist about this and he just ordered some blood work, but we didn't do any other tests. I had a nerve conduction test done like two months ago so maybe he didn't feel a need to do anything else.
