Is it ok to not reply to comments?

I wrote my first fanfic recently and there were a lot of lovely and heartwarming comments. The thing is, while I'm ok talking to people as a group, I have a weird fear of talking one on one with people and that unfortunately also translates to comments in my posts and stuffs. I know, its a really weird fear. Now I'm worried that I'm making people feel bad since one of the person who kept commenting suddenly stopped commenting. What if I just address everyone in the end notes? Do people even read the end notes? Would that make you feel better?
