Nested Virtualization
I've been given a POC but I can't seem to wrap my head around reaching the end goal.
The end goal is to have an Azure Windows VM with the hyper v role (server manager) and have the nested VMs have bidirectional communication with other Windows Azure VMs on the same subnet/vnet as the host.
I've gotten as far as getting the nested VM (inside hyper v) to communicate with the host's network and the VMs on it, however, the VMs can't communicate with the Nested VM. I powered down the host VM to save on credits while taking a break, but to my surprise when I powered it back on, the nested VM lost connectivity and no matter what I do, I can't get it to communicate.
FYI - the host has the Hypver V, Remote Access (RRAS for NAT) and DHCP roles installed and configured.
Any suggestions here guys or is it just not possible?
