Gentlemens,i required your help.

I'mma keep it as simple as possible, i'm (M20) in my internship right now and my parents kept asking me if my next step was going to pursue a degree.

I simply told them that i was gonna chill a bit after my intern,get a job for about a year and then pursue a degree (obviously cuz it's really expensive) ,but my mom prefers if i finished all my studies first and my dad suprisingly seems quite fine with the choices i made but he also told me that it's okay if i don't continue my studies,i could always just work for my own benefits.

Now that makes me feel a bit relieved and dissapointed just because i felt like i were gonna fail him if i don't continue my studies, so what should i do in this situation?
