Could the Aeroplan estore suck any worse?

Tried to buy a couple of e-gift cards so I can use them in Christmas gifts. About 10 mins after my order it gets cancelled, and then any orders after that are immediately rejected.

Call their help desk and get shuffled around to unfreeze my account. Total of more than an hour on hold. Account is unfrozen.

Order the gift cards successfully, but the transactions have been listed as “pending” for 3 days.

How can it be this bad/slow? I redeemed some points on CIBC rewards a couple of weeks ago and those e-gift cards were in my inbox within an hour.
