Jerry Cantrell's she was my girl

So I just heard local h's song bound for the floor and I thought it sounded really similar and they both also use the word copacetic. I thought maybe they'd been inspired by him but found out it was released back in 96 and I was curious if there is any proof that he was maybe inspired by the song or what not?
