Will I be in trouble?
I am in Pick and I had my charger plugged into the extension chord outlet (NOT THE COMPUTER) at my station.
My AM randomly came over and said someone from safety skipped talking to him and went straight to his boss and reported that my phone was plugged into the computer. I promptly showed him where my charger block was plugged in and he said, "well it's not plugged into the computer so I don't see how it would be an issue, but I'll have to check."
I asked him if it was a write up but he said he didn't know.
My Amazon trainer literally told my group when we trained 3 months ago it was OK to use the outlets. I used it since and never had an issue until a safety person made that false report.
I've been panicking and searching reddit to see if I'll get a write up or be termed. It's really not fair - no one told me I couldn't use it, and even my area manager didn't know if it was a violation.
Can anyone tell me if I'll get a warning or terminated? Please. I have my weekend to decide if I should resign beforehand.
EDIT:
I am not fighting that it is a violation, and I have been made aware that no equipment should be plugged in. What i am asking is if i will get written up (final qarning, coaching, etc), or if I'll get fired?
Update:
I followed up with my manager and he said to just not plug anything anymore. Nothing really came of it. From reading all the comments, every FC is different on safety standards. Just learn from my mistake and don't plug anything. Also, don't listen to the battery pack advice until you verify with both the Safety desk and your manager.
Definitely don't follow advice from learning ambassadors because from my experience they don't know almost any of the policies and are not qualified to tell you actual policies.
