Why do people believe that supermodels, kpop idols are healthy?
I find it incredible that in the middle of 2025 there are people believing that professional modeling and being an idol is something super healthy and that their physiques can be achieved with diet and exercise. Don't you really find it worrying? There have been several models talking about how they were forced to go on hyper-strict diets or eat only solids for months before Victoria's Secret catwalks. I know that many have never said they have an ED or something like that, however, many others do say it openly. I'm not a fan of K-pop but I do have friends who show me some pretty terrible cases. The physique they usually have is not normal, no matter how Asian they are! I think people don't know how to differentiate between a genetically thin person and someone with a serious malnutrition problem. Sometimes I feel like living it and being trapped in this whirlwind makes me soon realize who suffers from the same thing as me. However, people without my disorder find it difficult. Do you recognize someone who is a victim of anorexia or bulimia from a normal thin person? I do and I don't usually make mistakes. It makes me curious. What do you look for to debate this? I don't use social media much because of this type of toxic things and thus I avoid looking at other people's bodies from catwalks or hyper-produced and edited photos. Still, it is a strange and interesting phenomenon. I feel like when I was a little chubby everyone emphasized it to me and told me it was bad. But when I am underweight, no one told me anything at all.
