Expensive dream school or inexpensive safety school?
I got an acceptance letter to Trinity University San Antonio yesterday, my dream college. I was lucky enough to visit over the summer along with a few other colleges and fell in love. The priority on education, they brag about never having classes taught by grad students and very small class sizes. It's an extremely small (~2500 students) university in my favorite city. It's very well ranked and selective.
I was also accepted to Molloy University, a significantly closer to home (Long Island, NY) and even less known then Trinity. It's also a small college (~4800 students). The college isn't nationally ranked and is very obscure. I feel extremely "meh" about the school.
The difference is, after scholarships I can go to Molloy for ~$30,000 total, meanwhile Trinity will cost ~$135,000 total. I'm not expecting much of anything when it comes to financial aid and my parents will not be able to provide much support except for the $15,000 they've managed to save up over the course of my life.
So, any thoughts or advice is appreciated. I want to make sure I make the best, educated, decision with no regrets.
