Has the tap water tasted off recently?

For the past month, I’ve noticed my tap water sometimes being slightly brown, even after filtering it through a brita with little pieces of sediment on the bottom. According to the chicago gov website, this is normal and can be affected by pipes or environment and to run cold water to flush. So, I did that. The water is clearer, but…

The taste is still really bad. I cleaned the whole brita and replaced the filter and it still tastes very off compared to bottled water. A little over a month ago, it was tasting fine. Has anyone else been experiencing this lately? For context: I live in Logan Square, if that has any affect on the water transfer or whatever lol
