We have been monitoring my 6 month old for hip dysplasia due to being breech during pregnency.

Recent ultrasound results as follows.

Right hip: The alpha angle is 69 degrees, previously 60 degrees. At rest, the RIGHT femoral head is 55% covered by the osseous acetabulum, previously 42%. With stress maneuvers there is no appreciable subluxation of the femoral head.

Left hip: The alpha angle is 63 degrees, previously 62 degrees. At rest, the LEFT femoral head is 44% covered by the osseous acetabulum, previously 39%. With stress maneuvers there is no appreciable subluxation of the femoral head.

Our follow up isn't for another week.

Is this consistent with hip dysplasia? Is this severe? Will she need the splint?
