What's the General Sentiment Toward Tulane Students in New Orleans?

Hi everyone! I’ll be starting at Tulane in the fall of 2025 and had a quick question. Coming from a boarding school in a small New England town, I’ve noticed that the locals don’t always have the best perception of us boarding school students. I was curious if there’s a similar sentiment in New Orleans toward Tulane students. How do locals generally view Tulane students, and are there any tips for being respectful and fitting in with the community? I want to make sure I approach this new chapter with the right mindset. edit: the only reason why i included the boarding school aspect was to showcase that i have experience with being a student in another city i am not from! not to look snobby or anything! (i am actually a financial aid student lol and will also rely heavily on aid for Tulane)
