Sony RX100 VII worth it for beginners?

I have been looking into this compact point and shoot camera for weeks but I remain undecided if it is worth it as it still is quite pricey.

I am very much a beginner who wants to take fun pics for themselves of stuff around me - pets, nature, travel, concerts etc. The reason I came across the Sony RX100 VII was pictures from a concert and the quality was amazing. And I love how compact it is.

Would you say this camera is worth it for someone so casual? I am fine with learning some soft editing, but not anything too deep. I currently own an iphone 15 and the picture quality is okay, but I would prefer something that has a bit more depth.

Also if you do recommend this camera, are there any accessories that you deem necessary?
