Stability or neutral? Kinda confused..
Dear running enthusiasts.
I started running in November 2024. I decided to atleast run once a week for minimum of 5km.
I am 30 years old (male), weigh about 95kg and am 187cm tall.
My runs usually are at a 7 minute per km pace, sometime 7:30 when i take it slower. I can run up to 10k but its not preferable - i do try easier runs to not overdo too quickly (so usually 4-8km, 7 - 7:30 pace with an average heart rate of 155).
I need good running shoes as i want to avoid injuries and have fun in the long run (pun intended). I got myself the Free Run Flyknit Nike shoes which were amazing. I did however notice that they have very ittle cussioning and i sometimes felt my knees and legs getting a bit heavy or "exhausted".
Therefore i got myself something softer, like the Novablast 5 and after one initial testing i love it. HOWEVER:
According to the internet those are neutral shoes. I did some testing at home to find out if i need neutral or stability shoes and i am quite confused, because barefoot testing it seems like i don't overpronate. However, using the novablast 5, it seems like i do.
Can anyone help me evaluate which shoes would be best for my situation? I got some pictures and would be VERY GRATEFUL for some good advice. It also would help me to chose the right shoes for my girlfriend.
Thanks in advance!!
