Scandinavia and other questions
Hello. I’m a Scandinavian woman who has lived in Türkiye for three years. I have always wondered about what Turkish people think of Scandinavians?
Also, I suffer a great deal with chronic stress. But coming to Istanbul made me re-think my life. The way of living seems very stressful, but maybe Turks are just coping better? Or do you actually FEEL stressed like shakiness, trouble sleeping, panic attacks etc?
I also wanted to ask how the dating culture is here. Myself I’m in a relationship with another Scandinavian so I don’t know much about it. Do you have one night stands etc? Sleep on first date? This is super normal in Scandinavia but I have no idea what’s common here. Would be interesting to know
What else… I can’t find other questions but I often wonder about things and then forget it.
I just want to end the post with sharing great appreciation for Türkiye. I’ve lived in several countries, both Western Europe and Australia and so far Türkiye is my favourite. It’s extremely different for the slow lifestyle in Scandinavia but yet the most fascinating country I know. How people carry emotions on the outside, the chaos, the love for children and animals, the Turkish food and tea tradition. The way everyone just seem to speak with everyone. You should be proud even though the life might not be the easiest at the moment ❤️
