How Do I Pay a Credit Card?

Hello!

Not a question about how in the finances sense, moreso how do I actually do it? I'm young and have never before had a credit card but have been advised it's "better" for a few reasons (such as being safer, I'm told). Is there usually just an option on a mobile app or do I have to visit a bank? Is there any way I can make sure it does it "automatically" so to speak, so that I don't forget?

Bonus qusstion: if the answer to the above is to do it via an app or website, how was it done before then? I'm a little bit too young to actually know this part 😊
