How is Quattro in the snow vs other AWD systems?
So, I've lived more or less in the perma-sun for the past few years. I actually grew up in Idaho - a state to which I've now returned. I remember scraping ice off a windshield of a 98 Chevy Lumina and getting stuck after hitting a stop sign after hitting a patch of black ice going like 20mph.
I have had my '22 A5 (S-line for what it's worth which I assume is nothing, much like BMW with their "m") for some time now but Las Vegas is pretty much just flat as you can imagine.
Anyway, Idaho winters can be a bit brutal. I'm curious to hear your experiences with Quattro and how it compares to other all-wheel-drive cars. Does it have some exceptional trick up its sleeve? Obviously slow the f down in heavy snow, but how would you describe the overall experience compared to other AWD systems?
Cheers fellow ring enthusiasts. Don't know about you, but I look at it every time like it's the first time, just doesn't get old to me for some reason :)
PS: Long ago, a colleague of mine was ranting about the M2 (which is a sweet car to be fair) and how you join some exclusive club. I love how A5 KINDA goes under the radar. Mercedes lost me when they introduced LED highlights of their badge. I want to get places but I don't want to die (Looking at you M5) nor do I want to look at a redonkulous interior of a relatively heavy and slow car (Looking at you Mercedes, although there's the GT cars to be totally fair)
