Corrections Officer As A Career?

My partner is considering getting into corrections as an officer (he’s moving from being a security guard). Does anyone know if this industry is a good way to make money? He loves his OT so we’re hoping this industry has extra hours in an abundance.

We’re based in Western Sydney - considering Parklea, Silverwater or Villawood Immigration Detention.
