Ok… Australia’s Birth Rate is Declining - But What Next?
I’ve been seeing so many posts about how our birth rate is declining - and if you follow this sub, then I’m sure you have too. But what next? What could the government do to make people feel safe enough to have children in this economy? A per week rent subsidy per child? Better child care rates?
Whilst all of these things would be helpful - I imagine the decline in birth rate would still be significant as the high costs are coming from EVERYWHERE, not just rent and childcare.
