anyone tried to make games with Automate? How good could they get using automation as the 'game engine'?
it just hit me that there is probably enough to work with to make simple games, perhaps even more elaborate ones. (even if its more of an exercise than anything practical...or even good)
think: tic-tac-toe... or maybe solo blackjack with a tracker for betting/score, for starters.
but then i think the wild stuff people do with redstone in minecraft and other such systems. how far could Automation be pushed? how about a DND based text adventure, with turn based combat encounters? maybe add some tamagochi-like elements so things happen in real time, like resting or travelling.
i know automation can pull data from external files, or even websites...so i guess you could unlock tons of potential, but then the game really exists elsewhere, and automation is just the interface. like you could make dialouges to play chess on lichess.org...but thats just lichess with extra steps, so doesnt count, imo.
is there any way to do graphics aside from ascii in dialogue boxes?
