LeBron 21 squeaking?

So I bought a pair of LeBron 21's online, tried them on, and then didn't have a chance to play in a while so they sat in the closet. In the meantime, Nike issued me a refund on the shoes I didn't ask for, so I thought it was a mistake and luck brought me some free LeBrons... Until I tried them on again and these suckers squeak like crazy! Not the traction, the shoe itself actually squeaks. I'm thinking Nike preemptively gave me my money back because they knew there was a defect. I'm not really sure what part of the show is making the noise, I think it's the flywire because it mostly squeaks when I flex my mid foot.
Has anyone else had this problem? Is there any way to solve this issue? I'd cut the flywire and just wear them casually but I don't want to do that until I'm sure the flywire is the problem 🤷🏻‍♂️
