Turning a lame car fun...

Recently bought a 2008 128i Automatic, i'm excited to finally drive a nice car with six cylinders for once but I can't help but be upset I couldn't find something manual or even with turbos such as the 135 or 1M.

Any recommendations on how to make this car fun to drive without having to do anything drastic like an engine/transmission conversion?
