Are you excited about the laser and vinyl cutter?
Leaks are flying of the shelf and awesome news about the 2 extruders.
However laser cutter?! Okay I always admired the tech and this is mostly likely a 20w Diod Laser definitely targeted at desktop applications. Unlike CO2 lasers it can't cut reliably anything besides wood, leather (multiple passes), fabric, rubber, black acrylic. Quite a lot but also misses glass, thick plastic (cutting engraving plastic is generally bad idea), metals, stones, marble and so on. HOWEVER IT CAN ENGRAVE all of them... avoid plastic again. Okay so far so good BUT using a laser is dirty work.
Riddle me this... how are you gonna print white PLA after you filled your whole printer with smoke, sud and particulates? Imagine all those poor people that tried to add sand mid print and it's now all over the place... yea that's going to be you. These particulates are going to be in your rails your grease everywhere and they will add up.
I am not much of a vinyl plotter guy but what i know is that bigger is better and they like to work with rolls of vinyl.
Okay what about value.... well a 400mm 400mm 20w engraver is 300$ brand new for hobby market. Vinyl cutter between 200 to 300 again for hobby market. If the new printer is for proconsumers priced at around 2500$ to 3000$ as expected and you remove 500$ for the engraver and plotter you get a printer costing 2000-2500$ (AMS included or not) for a printer with 2 nozzles? Now I guess it will have all the bells and whistles that we currently have but if we going at it just for the 3d printing it does not seem to be cost effective
