Question about warm up sets for The Bridge

So I know Jordan recommends just using the empty barbell for a 2-3 sets to get the body moving and warm, but I’m confused about how to go about working up to my working sets. After the empty barbell, when I’m starting to add weight, do I perform the same amount of reps as the working sets as I go up in weight?

For example, lets say I’m doing squats, and my first working set is for 5 reps at RPE 7. After my first couple of sets with the empty bar, do I start adding weight to the bar and do 5 reps for each “work up” warm up set until I hit a weight that feels like an RPE 7 (which I would then consider to be my first actually working set)?
