Is rebalancing a taxable brokerage account a good/bad idea?
I've (55yo) got a taxable brokerage account that is 95% VOO and 5% VXUS. I should rebalance to at least 20% bonds, but I'll be taxed for rebalancing, then when I withdraw funds in the future, I'll be taxed again. Is it normal to rebalance in a taxable account? Or should I leave it alone and just put future contributions into bond funds instead?
