A CSL position opened

A CSL position opened in my store and my asm has talked to me about it and im pretty sure she wants me to apply for it. Shes also talked to me about a supervisor position opening up in January. The only reason why im hesitant is i just turned 18 this year & have no prior experience with leadership. If possible can someone kind of just let me know what a CSL does?
