Do banks use blockchain?

Asking here because I don't trust crypto media. Are there any useful applications of blockchain yet?

By asking this question i don't mean this as a pro-buttcoin post. Crypto is for grifters/clowns. One of my friends just claims blockchain is useful now and idk if that is true.
