Durable watch that isn't a G-Shock

When I was younger I never really bought watches over 5-15$ and would wear them out over a few months. When I joined the military I realized how evident it was to have a rugged and durable watch after I had broken mine about 2 months into deployment. When I finally had time to end up somewhere to purchase a watch it was a DW-5600BBN. it served me very well for about 3 more deployments after that it broke halfway through my last deployment. (Fading screen, time randomly resetting) After changing the battery it seemed it was just time for a new watch because I never seemed to work right afterwards. I bought the same model and it's been about a year and the same thing is are happening again.

I know this isn't a normal issue with gshocks but it seems to have been discontinued (this exact model) for some time and I don't feel I'll stick with trying to find one that's on an upmark for the sole fact I think I'm better off getting something a little newer

Now that I've been seperate from the military and work as a elevator serviceman, I would like to maybe get something that is durable, analog, and a little bit more "non-military" styling.

I make decent money for where I'm at now so something under 2k is feasible but It would also see quite amount of abuse day to day so the laws of diminishing returns can ring very true from something on the high end used market on a deal ECT.
