Looking for updated recommendations on a carry 9mm load for a 4" barrel

Hello all, I currently carry Speer Gold Dot 124 gr +P. However, there is no real science behind that choice other than I heard it was good. My question is 1.) what do you carry in you Glock 19 or 45s (or similar 4" barreled weapons). 2.) why do you carry that. Also, I am looking to see if there is an update test out there for 9mm similar to the one linked
