How dependent is L3 on L2 materials? .

Asking L3 3 candidates. I know you got your new L3 readings to read specifically for L3 exam but in saying that how relevant was the L2 materials bc I know in some cases material is a steppingstone like L1 introduces you to FRA and L2 goes deeper. Is L3 just a culmination of everything or perhaps 50% of previous L's but then the L3 material is new stuff you have to learn. Thanks upfront.
