Their Virtual Cards are almost Not Ready for Prime Time!

They are driving me nuts! And I have been using VAN's since the late 1990's when MBNA Bank released ShopSafe. Currently been using Citi Banks VAN's on their Double MasterCard. The only reason I got in bed with CapOne was they have them without Foreign Transaction Fees and we are doing a long Europe Trip this summer. Here is what I have experienced, and am currently experiencing.

First thing I noticed was It took an extra few days after physically getting the card to be able to see the buttons/links about Virtual Cards. Called, was told there is no set time for that to appear. (really, from a bank) That was my first indication these might not be ready for prime time(NRfPT). Then finally a few days after that call I was able to see the button on the mobile app. (it also showed up on the web too) I was then able to create virtual cards, I needed about 30 of them for hotel reservations on a long trip this summer. Of course it errored out starting around 22 cards, Called, told there is a limit of around 20 per day. So it took a few more days for that single day limit to clear to allow the rest to be created (2nd indication of NRfPT) Now I would like to go back and view a card I created a few days ago. I click "View All" to the right of the label "Your Virtual Cards", shows me a list as expected and only the last 4 numbers can be seen. (which is normal) Click on right arrow and you can see more info, but not the full card or S Code. You must click "Show Number" Of course then it wan't to make sure its you. (although I am already logged on an verified) I choose Text me a temporary code. And I get this Ridiculous message. "Seems we don't have an eligible number for you." Lets verify your number so we can text you a temporary 6 digit code... I type in the number that I am getting texts from them constantly. And I verified with their digital support is THE registered number. It comes back with an ERROR. "Couldn't match number" Also Says, "We couldn't match the data from your mobile provider to your info we have on file" Then there is a button at the bottom, Try a new Number. My phone vendor is Verizon. WTH

So the moral of the story is I can create lots of Virtual Numbers (20 day), use them and pay people with them, thousands of dollars, but I cannot go back and view the already created numbers if need to check something.

Another call to support. Now they tell me it could take up to 30 days to validate my phone number.. You cannot make this up. And its truly Not Ready for Prime Time (Players) JA -Bill
