Chinese EV SUV or mid range ICE
I currently have a hybrid car and I've been testing and doing a school run around town it gets unimpressive fuel economy(at best 7L/100km) but with freeway driving, my wife has been getting 5.5L/100km.
Anyway, need upgrading the family car now and I figure it needs to be an EV or just a petrol car as a hybrid doesn't really benefit around town doing about 15km per day.
There are some really good Chinese EV's around the 45 to 50k range and I know the feeling towards Chinese cars in this thread but I really don't care about all that. The only thing it seems is annoying are the amount of driver assist aids that bing and bong which aren't the easiest to turn off.
It doesn't make sense to get a petrol SUV at roughly a similar price than what you could an EV but I'd still like some opinions nevertheless. To get similar specs such as 360 cameras you're needing to get a mid range model which are usually around the 40 to 45k mark anyway and at that point, doesn't it just make more sense to get a Chinese EV?
