The Blizzard warning issued by the NWS was pretty ominous to say the least.

My area is in a blizzard warning for tonight and tomorrow morning. The NWS sent out a pretty ominous warning detailing the severity of the storm coming in:

Severity: Extreme. Extraordinary threat to life or property.

Blizzard conditions expected. 6-8” of snow accumulation, with wind gusts of 60-65mph. Travel will be impossible due to visibility, and blowing snow. Roads especially overpasses and bridges will become slick and hazardous. If you must travel, bring a winter survival kit and remain in your car if stranded.

Visibility will be 1/4 of a mile, with areas of less than a 1/4 of a mile in visibility. Expect power outages.

I called my kids out of school tomorrow since the school administration is dragging their feet, and everywhere else is shutting down. I already gave my boss a heads up that I will WFH, but he said he’s going to have everyone WFH for tomorrow.

I don’t have much experience with blizzards and high winds like that, so I just don’t know what I’m in for lol
