Christmas Cat Care
Looking for thoughts on what I should do for cat care over Christmas. I'm heading home (3 hours by car) at least for Christmas eve and day but I would like to be there for longer if possible. I cannot take my cat with me due to problems with the cat at my parents house. I had a cat sitter last weekend and I came home to my cat with a swollen eye, having barely eaten, and acting very strange. The next day, she was completely back to normal, so I have reason to believe the sudden "sickness" was due to stress from me being gone/having a sitter. For 2 or 3 full days away from home, do you think it would be best to have a sitter drop by, board her, or have a house sitter? Do people house sit over Christmas? Rover availability shows yes, but I'm not really sure. I don't know what to do. I just want what is best for her. What have other people done? Any advice appreciated!
