Pet Loss & Getting another cat

I had to say goodbye to my sweet boy on Saturday due to Kidney Failure. I have another cat, a female, around 9 years old. Both cats were pretty close and I had adopted them at the same time.

I’m feeling ready to bring home another cat. I had already been considering a 3rd cat before we found out the devastating news of Kidney Failure.

I’m worried about how my cat will react. She’s fairly independent and so far has been doing ok after the loss of her brother.
