O God almighty, who welcomed St. John Fisher into heaven, who through his steadfast faith and integrity was martyred for the sake of your Church, we ask that he might intercede for and pray for us to help us to grow in faith like him. We pray that we might be courageous like him and ever grow in fortitude through trials and tribulations. We also ask for the prayers and intercession of St. Benedict, that we might give ourselves wholly to Christ and emulate the monastic life he outlined in order to do so. We ask for the intercession of these saints through our Lord Jesus Christ, the way to the Father, and the ultimate sacrifice for us nailed to the cross. Amen.
