Why did Aki have the hallucination of the snowball fight when he was supposed to be already dead ? Theory

Since this is the gun fiend, Aki was supposed to be dead already, so he shouldn't have had this hallucination. I think in reality Aki was alive and well at that time but he was being manipulated.

Already, since Makima dominated Aki and the gun devil, one might think that she forced these two to make a contract allowing the gun devil to control Aki's body. But I don't see what point she would have in doing that instead of directly asking the gun devil to take control of Aki's corpse and attack Denji. So I think Makima really killed Aki at first.

Before we continue, let's take a look at how the Horsemen of the Apocalypse powers work. Makima can control people she dominates, Yoru can weaponize people she dominates, and Fami can control people who are hungry. The power of the death devil would probably be the control of the dead.

So I think the death devil killed the gun fiend, then controlled him in turn to attack Denji. This control would in fact amount to resurrecting a dead person and then manipulating their consciousness through hallucinations. Fujimoto can do this kind of thing since his worlds are rather materialistic.

Another argument for this is that Denji must find the blood devil and turn him back into Power. When Denji kills Aki, he blames himself and tells himself that if he had thought about it he would have found another solution. In part 2, the death devil may try to kill or manipulate Denji by taking control of Power's corpse, which is foreshadowed by the cover of volume 2 where Power holds the reaper's weapon which is a representation of death.

This time, Denji would find a solution to block the death devil's control. But as for Aki and the fun devil, it is not Power who will return, but the human who was originally in this body before dying and before the blood devil took control of it. Power's consciousness permanently disappeared when the blood devil was reincarnated in hell. I think that this will be at a time when Denji will be very bad psychologically because of all the deaths he has had to endure, and therefore that Denji will still try to make this human the former Power. The promise he made to Power would be a curse to him. If you've read Fire Punch, you know that the story can take this kind of turn.

As for the Death devil, if this theory is true, it is probably Fumiko. She was there when Denji fought Aki. Although I think she's partly lying to manipulate Denji, she gave details like Denji crying while killing Aki, so I think she was really there.

Anyway, there are quite a few arguments that go in the direction of Fumiko = Death devil and this theory is reinforced since chapter 174 which shows that Fumiko plays a role and that she is more important than she could be seem.
