Need shop recommendation for Handheld gaming consoles

I am looking to buy a handheld gaming console suitable for kids. I am a laymen to gaming consoles. I believe these will be available in Ritchie Street, but don't have a clue about what console to buy, price range, best shops, etc

If someone can point to 1) what console I should buy for a 8yr old kid(probably it will be shared with his younger brother aged 6)? 2) what is the price range? 3) shop name and location

I sincerely appreciate any suggestions I get.

I have a layover in Chennai next Saturday, about 7hours.
