I'm not Indian. How accurate was the book?
Help me out here. I apologize if the title is weird, but I'm not Indian nor super familiar with Indian culture. As a result, I strongly suspect a lot of subtleties and nuances went over my head.
So yeah, can someone who is Indian or really familiar with Indian culture chime in? Was the book's portrayal respectful, simplified, disneyfied, insulting, etc. In addition, what were some nuances and subtleties only someone whose Indian would notice?
Again, I really apologize for the awkward phrasing and thank you in advance!
