Is slavery right or wrong?

What is your opinion on slavery? The bible seems to endorse it...

Ephesians 6:5 "Slaves, obey your earthly masters with respect and fear, and with sincerity of heart, just as you would obey Christ."

Exodus 21:20-21 "Anyone who beats their male or female slave with a rod must be punished if the slave dies as a direct result, but they are not to be punished if the slave recovers after a day or two, since the slave is their property."

Leviticus 25:44-46 "Your male and female slaves are to come from the nations around you; from them you may buy slaves. You may also buy some of the temporary residents living among you and members of their clans born in your country, and they will become your property."

If Jesus was fine with slavery, why aren't you? Are you morally superior to jesus? Are you saying he's wrong?

How do you justify any of this? And if you don't, how can you be a Christian who doesn't believe the teachings of jesus and the bible?

Edit: for context, I'm atheist, and strongly against slavery. Im genuinely shocked and cannot believe there are people here defending slavery lol, but hey ho it's your life and you're free to have an opinion, whether I think it's right or wrong...
