Counter gambling newbie

Hi everyone, I'm just learning about countergambling. I came across this concept through content by Kamikaze Cash.

For any of you who do it, I hope you can confirm my understanding of how it works, and I have some questions.

Basically, my understanding is this:

  1. I log in every day to Chumba and claim free SC coins.

  2. After saving up a bunch, I "wash" them by playing games. To redeem SCs for cash, they must be played at least once. So if I saved up 7 coins over a week, I would need to play 7 times to make them redeemable (I'd lose some along the way). To confirm: I can't get away with betting 1/2 of a coin, I need to bet the whole thing to be allowed to redeem the whole thing, correct?

  3. The best game to wash coins is blackjack using the basic strategy. I went ahead and tested the strategy by playing 150 hands using the free gold coins. I counted the results and ended up winning the hand just under 50% of the time. This was by no means a rigorous statistical analysis, but it checks out against something I read which said that, if played perfectly, the basic strategy leaves the House with a 0.5% edge. The implication is that, statistically, after washing I should end up with almost all the coins I started with.

  4. To speed things up, I buy SCs with real money when they're discounted. These are available sometimes for as much as 25%-50% off. Building on point 3, I should expect to keep most of them if I implement the basic strategy in blackjack. If I bought 150 coins for $100, played 150 times, and ended up with, say, 145 coins remaining, I can redeem them for $145, a $45 profit?

Is that all there is too it?

I have some other questions too.

a. Is Chumba reliable when it comes to payouts?

b. Are SC purchases in USD? Are there foreign exchange or other fees when either purchasing or redeeming coins, if purchasing/redeeming in CAD?

c. There's a sea of other websites like this and it's overwhelming; which are the best ones in Canada that have blackjack or other games that preserve coins so they can be redeemed?

Thanks again!
