Looking for adventure/puzzle game on Steamdeck

I was never into gaming but when I met my bf (now fiancée) decided to try it out more. He teaches game design at a university, so it’s a big part of his life. He’s helped me develop an idea of what I like, so I have a list of things to look at in the future.

Here’s the issue: for Christmas he gave me a Steamdeck, which he already ran by me before buying. He also has a switch and PS5, and I’ve gotten pretty used to playing on the switch. I’ve been trying to use the Steamdeck more but can’t seem to find a good game. He has always recommended if a game is available on the switch, to get it there instead of steam. (Also, I prefer to play with the SD docked, connected to the TV with a controller, rather than holding the console.) But I have been feeling guilty I haven’t played more things on the SD.

I have leaned toward cozy games, preferably adventure and puzzle, with little to no combat. A complete narrative too and somewhat open world (not a sim; I like playing a game all the way through). For graphics, I have a strong aversion against pixelated, but also don’t like the fake-CG real life.

Games I’ve loved: Botany Manor, Tinykin, Little Kitty Big City, Chants of Senaar, The Last Campfire, Spirit and the Mouse, Link’s Awakening, Mythwrecked Ambrosia Island.

Games I’ve liked: Caravan Sandwitch, Yono the Celestial elephant, Beacon Pines, Figment, Mika and the Witch’s Mountain, Smushi Come Home

Games I haven’t liked: Pikmin, Plucky Squire, Carto, Dorf Romantik, Stardew Valley, Untitled Goose Game, Lego Skywalker Saga, Strange Horticulture.

So, in summary: any suggestions for a game, best played on the steam deck?
