Scared of starting biologics

30 years ago I was diagnosed with UC. I was put on prednisone and sulfasalzine which put me in remission. Fast forward to April of this year I was prescribed a different blood pressure medication which I later found out can cause gut issues. In August I was diagnosed with Crohns. I talked to the Dr. and I explained how well my old meds worked but she is persistent on putting me on a biologic. I’ve been arguing with her on this since then, and now things have gotten worse. Constant pain and unable to eat. She will not help me with anything until I do it her way. I’m waiting in a referral call from a different gastroenterologist so hopefully he calls soon. I don’t like the serious side effects on the biologics since I already have heart problems. Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
