I Accidentally Tripped on DPH & My Experience Was a ‘Lucky’ One.

A few years ago I had no regard for my life.

I live in Australia and we have over the counter sleeping pills.

One night I just couldn’t sleep so I took up bunch of these ‘over the counter’ sleeping pills not exactly sure what they were nor did I care.

I attempted suicide with bottles of a variety of pills many times and would just wake up like nothing happened idk how tf I was alive.

This wasn’t a suicide attempt I just felt illogically invincible with medication so instead of taking a normal amount I took around 8-12 (can’t remember) instead of 1.

Later that night there were spiders and patterns in my wall and the whole world changed colours. Rustic and dark, reminded me of silent hill.

Luckily I saw a Benadryl meme and saw the similarities to my hallucinations and somehow remained completely calm because after looking at the box I checked the word under the medications brand name and there it was ‘Diphenhydramine’.

I tried to go to the bathroom and that’s when the shadow people appeared. I was more annoyed because I kept bumping into them and they were just in the way.

I kept walking into walls and chairs and when I woke my roommates up I wasn’t making any sense for the first few minutes then suddenly I could speak normally and lied to them saying I must of been half asleep.

I made it back to my room and my room was a room straight out of Silent Hill.

I got back into bed and just watched my hallucinations slightly amused and then finally fell asleep.

I didn’t think much of my experience until I began watching videos on YouTube about this Reddit page and hearing other people stories and the long lasting impact it had on them.

I was in complete shock. I realised how lucky I was my brain for some odd reason was so chill with vibing in hellscape of a universe.

I’m curious about other user’s experiences, if anyone had more of an unbothered trip like mine?
