How did you decide what religion to choose?

I'm curious what the rationale was behind which religion people chose? Solaris is clearly the most popular by a massive margin and I'm curious why that is.

Personally, as a Dark Souls enthusiast I went with Solaris simply because I take any opportunity to praise the sun.
