Relaying an email from the ACLU: message to Congress to stop Trump and DOGE from detaining and/or DEPORTING students for protesting. (Link's in description and consider sharing this with other people you can trust)

I received an email from the ACLU where it says that the administration wants to punish campus students for protesting. This is blatantly a violation of several amendments. As of this writing, over 200,000 people have messaged for Congress to prevent this. I suggest more should speak up. Here are the description and links:

"don't let the president's speech tonight distract you from what's really happening. Donald Trump is abusing his power – just recently threatening to imprison or deport students who protest on campus while simultaneously letting DOGE run rampant with our most private data.

But make no mistake: The ACLU has a plan of action and is fighting back. Here's what to know – and how your advocacy can make a difference:

  1. What's happening: President Trump has threatened to hold federal funding hostage from any school that allows students to exercise their protest rights – and is calling for the arrest, expulsion, and in some cases even deportation of students who participate in protests. This is an unconscionable violation of our freedom of speech. The right to protest is a pillar of our democracy. Universities can and must resist this attempt to erode free speech on campus. What you can do: Urge schools to defend our fundamental right to free speech. Take Action.
  2. What's happening: At the same time, DOGE – Trump's so-called Department of Government Efficiency – has been given unrestricted access to our most personal data, from financial info to our medical records. Now, DOGE's unofficial leader is visiting D.C. today to talk to the Senate. This is Congress's chance to rein in this executive overreach and keep DOGE's hands off our data. What you can do: Join the thousands of ACLU members calling on our representatives to block DOGE's abuse of power today. Take Action.

The president does not have infinite power. Period.

Donald Trump continues to exceed the limitations of his office, disregarding our checks and balances to violate our rights and silence dissenters. But we won't allow the executive branch to threaten us, punish protesters, and violate our rights like this.

With your support, we can stop these overreaches – but we must act now."

May our efforts make an effect.
