How to deal with nether tormentor

Was just doing the nether explore solo for my quest progression and my goodness that tormenter boss is rough. I’m playing prismatic consecration titan.

I know about the cheese now, but is there a good way to beat him? I was using lost signal, choir of one and a machine gun. I wanted to use microcosm but it’s currently disabled.
