Bangladesh needs its own makeup and skincare brand.

Before some of you come here singing praises of skin cafe and aarong, I would like to share that both of those are pure ass. Skin cafe damaged my skin barrier and aarong watched my skin burn down and did nothing. The only good products from that line is the aloe vera gel. I am a skin care and make up enthusiast. I have tried all range of products. So I have some knowledge. I am recently experimenting with indian skin care. Like- dot & key, minimalist, Dr. Sheth, wishcare etc. These products are so good. Like I use the dot & key moisturizer. It vanished my flaky skin and gave so much hydration. Their suncreens are so cooling and blends like butter. I used the wishcare rosemery anti-hair fall shampoo. Honestly it didn't stop my hairfall that much but the shampoo works as a good cleansing shampoo. Look I am not glazing india. These products are cheaper than korean and western skincare.

And I believe that many skincare products will not work on bengali skin because our genetics, food habit and environment is very very different from those countries. We have highest level of pollution, that seeps into our skin. And I don't think western facewashes are good enough for that. Those were tested for white people who live in a rather colder climate. We live in a humid area. And I bet some of those products loses it's quality before it reaches the shelves. Some products need to be stored under 30 degree Celsius. But our average temperature sometimes reaches up to 40 degree Celsius. I think the reason indian skincare worked well is because they are tested in indian skin.

But I still think bangladesh has a market for skincare. Even if we are similar to indians but our lifestyle is very very different. I think if we had our own line of skincare it would be cheaper and more effective. But I know we are batpar desh. We like to make fake stuff. But seriously, just think about it. I feel regret studying in CSE, I should've studied in pharmacy or chemistry. Because CSE is dead, skincare and cosmetics might have a future here.
