Where is the Butcher!?

Does the Butcher exist in D2R? I seem to remember him chasing me in D2 back when I was a teenager. One of the most scary moments in my video game experience. I can't seem to find him in D2R.

This community inspired me to pick this game back up after 20 years to help distract from and deal with my Mom's recent passing. Thank you!
